Jim Oshinsky is an experienced child and clinical psychologist and a lifelong musician playing guitar, bass, hand percussion, and at times household objects. He worked with Paul Winter in the 1980s, organizing wilderness music retreats. This led to the founding of Music for People by David Darling and Bonnie Insull in 1986. Jim has recorded his own music and has served as a backup musician on a variety of recordings. Trained as an analytic psychologist, he has been in private practice since 1982, and recently retired from the public schools to resume university teaching at Adelphi University. He lives and works on Long Island.
